Oxygen-free copper (OFC) is a high-purity copper alloy that has been refined to remove all traces of oxygen and other impurities. OFC is known for its excellent electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and low susceptibility to embrittlement. These properties make it an ideal choice for various electrical and electronic applications, including high end audio equipment, transformers, and semiconductors.
Om Steel is proud to offer high quality Oxygen Free Copper products that meet the most demanding standards. Our OFC are produced using the latest technology and processes to ensure excellent electrical conductivity and superior mechanical properties. With our extensive experience and expertise in the industry, we can provide customized solutions to meet customers’ specific requirements.
At Om Steel, customers can expect high quality OFC products that are manufactured to the highest standards. We are committed to providing excellent customer service and technical support to ensure customers’ success. Whether you need a small quantity or a large volume of oxygen Free Copper products, Om Steel can provide you with the right solution to meet your needs.
Properties of
Oxygen Free Copper
High Electrical Conductivity
OFC has a high electrical conductivity, with rating of at least 101% IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard). This means that it is an excellent conductor of electricity, with low resistance to the flow of electrical current.
Low Thermal Conductivity
While OFC is an excellent conductor of electricity, it has a relatively low thermal conductivity compared to other metals, such as aluminium or silver. This makes it less efficient at dissipating heat, which can be a disadvantage in some applications.
Good Ductility and Malleability
OFC is a very ductile and malleable material, which means that it can be easily formed and shaped without breaking or cracking. This makes it a good choice for applications where the material needs to be bent or formed into complex shapes.
High Corrosion Resistance
OFC is highly resistant to corrosion, making it a good choice for applications where the material will be exposed to moisture or other corrosive environments.
Low Magnetism
OFC is a non-magnetic material, which makes it a good choice for applications where magnetic interference could be a problem.
