Types of Inconel Pipes

Inconel 600 Pipes

Inconel 600 pipe is commonly used in chemical processing and nuclear engineering due to its excellent resistance to oxidation and stress-corrosion cracking. It contains 72% nickel, 14-17% chromium, 6-10% iron, and small amounts of other elements such as copper, manganese, silicon, carbon, sulfur, and phosphorus. Inconel 600 pipes are often used in heat exchangers, boilers, valves, pumps, turbines, furnace components, radiant tubes, thermocouple sheaths, electrical resistance heating wires.

Inconel 625 Pipes

Inconel 625 pipe is often used in marine engineering and aerospace applications due to its high strength and resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. It contains 58% nickel, 20-23% chromium, 8-10% molybdenum, 3.5% niobium, and small amounts of other elements such as iron, cobalt, manganese, silicon, carbon, sulfur, and phosphorus. Inconel 625 pipes are often used in seawater desalination plants, offshore oil rigs, submarine pipelines, and aircraft exhaust systems.

Inconel 718 Pipes

Inconel 718 pipe is frequently utilized in gas turbine components and aircraft engines due to its exceptional strength at high temperatures and resistance to fatigue and creep. It contains 50-55% nickel, 17-21% chromium, 4.75-5.5% niobium + tantalum, 2.8-3.3% molybdenum + tungsten, small amounts of other elements such as iron, cobalt, aluminum, titanium, silicon carbon sulfur phosphorus boron copper manganese zirconium. Inconel 718 pipes are often used in compressor blades, turbine discs, combustion chambers, heat exchangers, rocket motors.

Types of Inconel Pipe Fittings

Elbow Fittings

Elbow fittings are one of the most commonly used types of inconel pipe fittings. They are designed to change the direction of the flow in the pipeline, making them an essential component for any piping system. Elbow fittings come in a variety of sizes and angles, including 45 degrees and 90 degrees.

Tee Fittings

Tee fittings are another type of inconel pipes fitting commonly used in piping systems. As their name suggests, tee fittings have a T-shaped design that allows them to split the flow into two directions. This makes them useful for applications where multiple pipelines need to be connected or where fluid needs to be diverted.

Reducer Fittings

Reducer fittings are designed specifically for connecting pipes of different sizes together within a piping system. These types of inconel pipes fittings are typically used when the flow rate needs to be reduced or increased between two sections of the pipeline.

Coupling Fittings

Coupling fittings are designed specifically for connecting two pipes of the same size together within a piping system. They are typically used in applications where pipes need to be joined together quickly and easily without requiring extensive welding or threading.

Flange Fittings

Flange fittings are designed specifically for connecting pipes with valves or other equipment within a piping system. They consist of two flanges that are bolted together with a gasket in between them, creating a tight seal that prevents leaks from occurring.
