Grades of Monel Round Bars and Rods
Monel 400
This is the most widely used grade of Monel and is composed of approximately 67% nickel and 30% copper. It offers excellent corrosion resistance in various environments, including seawater and acidic conditions. Monel 400 round bars and rods are used in marine applications, chemical processing, and oil and gas industries.
Monel K500
This grade of Monel is an age-hardened alloy, containing approximately 63% nickel, 30% copper, and small amounts of aluminum and titanium. It has higher strength and hardness compared to Monel 400, while still maintaining good corrosion resistance. Monel K500 round bars and rods are commonly used in applications that require high strength and excellent resistance to erosion and wear, such as pump shafts and valve components.
Monel R405
